June 16, 2009 - 12:54 pm Kurt Weiske - Welcome to the club! I've been using a Model M for years, can't type anywhere near as well with any other keyboard. It does require typing a little more softly at night when people are sleeping, though. :)

June 16, 2009 - 1:49 pm robin - That's so fun! I remember hearing that story on NPR, too. It is hard to find a comfortable keyboard. Mine isn't quite that clicky, but it is satisfying enough for me. Very fun.

June 16, 2009 - 5:26 pm dot tilde dot - congratulations on your first ibm clicky! don't forget to swap some keys to astound your comrades!

Business Card Observer website

The Business Card Observer website is a nice source of inspiration for business card design. [via Mike's blog @ Mike Industries].
I’m having fun paging through all the card images (be sure to click on the ‘Older Cards’ as well) and thinking about some of the design elements that work well, and ones that don’t.

Located near the exit to Pirates of The Caribbean, I understand the relaxing courtyard and staircase is...

Leica announced a special limited edition White M8 camera today. What do you think of it? [1]
Footnotes:Personally, I think it looks very cool-modern yet classy and something a Stormtrooper from Star Wars might carry . And yes, I’m testing a newly installed footnotes plugin. [↩]

Photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto’s U2 Album Cover

He (Bono) started taking notes as I talked,” Sugimoto recalled. Those notes became the foundation for the new album’s title track. I finally received the Canon 5D MKII that I had pre-ordered and have been playing around with it quite a bit. It’s been a fun adjustment getting used to shooting HD videos with it and working within the limitations that come with shooting videos with a DSLR camera. I hope to be able post some...

30 years of Apple in three and a half minutes

I found this a cool video-30 years of Apple designs in about three and a half minutes.
It’s interesting how many of the different models I recognize or have owned over the years. Or how once the multi-color iMacs came out, that pretty much killed beige computers. Strange that just a few years ago...
