I’ve been playing around with Animoto, sort of a slideshow on steroids. While I don’t think it’s right for all photo shoots, I think it’s a pretty cool alternative to the normal fade in and fade out type of slideshow. Check out this example I made from one of my wedding photo shoots:

Here are a couple of portraits that I shot a few years back but I wanted to get them onto the blog. These were shot on medium format film (2 1/4 square, 6×6). These days I shoot with a 4:3 digital but I sure do miss the square format.

Yesterday, Mother’s Day, I had lunch with my Mom and Stepdad in Napa at the Silverado Resort, a golf resort and spa in the wine country. It was quite relaxing and a beautiful day out. Unfortunately, I didn’t take as many pictures as I should have!

This is my cousin Frances with her daughter Ruby who is 2 years old and very cute. They were up visiting this past weekend.
Ruby hates having her picture taken. Well, mainly she doesn’t like to sit still for more than about a second
